7 April 2011

Fugro Subsea Services Ltd, Aberdeen, has reached agreement with District Offshore ASA (DOF) of Norway, on an extension to the current charter for DP2 vessel Skandi Olympia.  The vessel has established an excellent track record in the North Sea, Mediterranean and West African IRM markets over the last year, and is now committed to FSSLTD through into 2014.  With one FCV3000 and two observation class ROV systems permanently installed, the vessel is fully capable of carrying out all types of platform, pipeline and structure inspection and intervention.

Commenting on the announcement, FSSLTD IRM Manager Gordon Kennedy said “We are delighted to extend our charter on Skandi Olympia as the vessel has performed very well and built up a strong reputation in a relatively short period of time. This news reinforces our leading position in vessel based inspection operations.”
